As a kid, Friday nights meant one thing: TGIF.
Sure, it was just ABC's Friday night lineup, but to this day that name brings back memories: D.J. Tanner and Salem the Cat; Cory Matthews and the promise of the weekend.
It's amazing how certain names can paint a picture. I've been thinking about that recently as we've updated the name of the team that serves you over the phone and chat to Contact Center Operations.
What does this name change mean for you? Honestly, very little. You'll still call Apple Federal Credit Union the same way you always have, and you can expect the same friendly, knowledgeable service.
For us, this update reflects how we're evolving to help members. Supporting members over the phone today means more than answering calls; it means solving problems quickly, providing expert guidance on important decisions and making sure every interaction feels effortless.

In the summer of 2025, we opened a second contact center in Virginia. That was a big milestone; not just because it gave us more space, but because it resulted in shorter wait times and faster resolutions for members.

Behind the scenes, we've also improved how we schedule and train our staff. That means you're able to reach someone during peak hours, such as late afternoons and Saturdays when financial decisions often happen.
Our staff members are equipped with broad expertise so they can address a wider range of needs. We've also given team members better tools and more decision-making power so they can resolve your issues as quickly as possible.

That means upgrading systems to ensure our team can more efficiently resolve inquiries—because your time matters. When your request requires specialized support, we want that process to feel quick and effortless so you can get answers without the wait.
As we make these upgrades, we'll also receive better insights into what our members need and how to resolve certain issues. In turn, this will inform our product design, offers we provide and changes we make moving forward.
We're also exploring ways to use artificial intelligence to process simple, routine requests. We want to quickly get you the information you need, while also freeing our staff members' time to address your more complex questions.
